Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot

The spiritual journey begins in Haridwar, where pilgrims gather to seek blessings before starting the yatra. After an early morning pooja, drive towards Barkot, a serene town nestled in the Yamunotri valley. The drive offers scenic views of lush hills and rivers. Overnight stay in Barkot prepares you for the next day’s trek.

Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri and back to Barkot

Start early for a trek to Yamunotri Temple, the source of the sacred Yamuna River. The trek is about 6 km uphill, surrounded by dense forests and mountain streams. After offering prayers at the temple, you can bathe in the hot springs nearby believed to have healing powers. Return to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi

After breakfast, drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi, a spiritual town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. En route, enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas. Visit the Vishwanath Temple and explore local markets. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri

Proceed to Gangotri, the origin of the holy river Ganga. Visit the Gangotri Temple and take in the pristine beauty of the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Take a dip in the sacred river waters. Spend the night in Gangotri.

Day 5: Gangotri to Guptkashi

Leave Gangotri and head towards Guptkashi. On the way, pass through beautiful mountain landscapes and small villages. Guptkashi is a peaceful town serving as the base for the next phase of the pilgrimage. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 6: Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Start early for the drive to Sonprayag, followed by a 16 km trek or pony ride to the Kedarnath Temple, one of the holiest Shiva shrines. The trek is challenging but spiritually rewarding with breathtaking views. After visiting the temple and performing rituals, return to Guptkashi for the night.

Day 7: Guptkashi to Badrinath

Drive from Guptkashi to Badrinath, passing through scenic valleys and mountain passes. Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites. Spend time exploring the temple and nearby Tapt Kund hot springs. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 8: Badrinath to Joshimath

After morning prayers, depart for Joshimath, a spiritual town at the gateway to the Valley of Flowers. Visit local temples and monasteries. Relax and prepare for the journey back. Overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 9: Joshimath to Haridwar/Rishikesh

Begin your return journey to Haridwar or Rishikesh. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you descend from the mountains back to the plains. Once in Haridwar or Rishikesh, take part in the evening Ganga Aarti, a beautiful spiritual ritual. Overnight stay in Haridwar or Rishikesh.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, conclude your sacred Char Dham Yatra with a heart full of blessings and memories. Depart for your onward journey or return home.
